Now is the time to book that fall airfare deal. Travel is usually down after the kids return to school, so there are some very good deals to be had. There are several great web sites to look at, and of course your local travel agent is a great source when it comes to finding deals.
If you work with a travel agent, let them know you are in the market for some travel. IF you have a specific destination in mind they can help you immediately. If you are very flexible in your plans, let them know that and they can keep an eye open for you.
These folks a busy professionals, so if you don’t already have a working relationship with an agent, you may need to keep an eye on the specials yourself. If you have taken a spur of the moment trip before with a special deal your travel agent will be glad to hear from you again and book another great deal for you.
Cruises are especially appealing for those who know they want to take a cruise this time of year, but aren’t locked into one specific destination. All the major airlines also have travel pages with discounts. Some are for a very limited time, other deals let you book a few weeks out. Again flexibility is the key; some of the deals have you traveling at off hours. That is not always optimal when traveling with children.
